That sucks. Prime matchup this afternoon too.

Obviously not on the level of Max Scherzer, but I keep purposely removing Jake Odorizzi from my lineup whenever I think he has a tough road start considering his shitty road splits from last season. So far I sat him at Toronto and earlier this week at Boston. In those two starts he's gone 15 IP and given up 2 earned runs.

The benches are too small to deal much, in my opinion. Hard to really make an uneven (as far as numbers go) deal work.

If you're going to miss one of his starts... might as well be a non-quality start.

I hate the roster sizes. Definitely would like to increase the roster sizes especially with us drafting each season.

What's the problem with the roster size? There are 20 teams in this league. There aren't any good players to pick up to put in hypothetical extra roster spots

Yeh, I don't see any reason to expand roster sizes.

Yea, I can't imagine why we'd need bigger rosters.

bigger rosters would be cool, but there is no way to pull it off. there wouldnt even be active major league players in the pool.

For one, when my minor league players are no longer minor league eligible I dont want to have to drop players off my major league roster. An extra 2 spots would be nice.

Also, the cupboard might be bare now, but it wasnt when I wanted to add a few players earlier in the season.

Also, who does it hurt to add a few more spots the further we get into the league. It just seems the people who didnt draft enough pitching and seeing how it is hurting them want to get the rosters limited for they can possibly stream an okay picture when needed.

ETA: And the bigger rosters are better for trade flexibility.

Balancing the roster is part of the strategy in a dynasty IMO

I haven't noticed anyone doing it but if anyone is streaming the pitchers that are available they are fricked either way

Pretty terrible arguments made by DJ. No need to expand rosters. Moving on.

Agreed. I actually thought to myself a week or so ago that the roster size was pretty much perfect.

The league rosters make this pretty much like an old school roto where you draft your player and just roll with them playing everyday with no lineup changes (esp when you throw in the 35 IP min, basically every SP has to go).
