The only reason to wait is to make sure that every team gets the opportunity to trade for certain players that might be OTB. Just makes sense to wait until the season is over.

Can we have illegal active rosters in the offseason? Can we go under 18 players now ? There's some shitty players I want to let go, but I'm not necessarily looking to replace them with anyone.

That's what I'm wondering. Say in November, I decide Saladino has no future with my team, I don't have a replacement for him. I just have to hold on to him until I know who I want to replace him with?
