He maxed out at 90 in his last outing.

i see
he only went .2 and threw 30 pitches, it appears. "sitting around 90 mph". I know cooper was working on stuff w him and reynaldo
I watched his 2nd and 3rd starts and he was sitting 94-95. He threw 57 pitches in his other 9 IP

Hopefully it's just a dead arm phase. Apparently Lopez had good results in his sessions with Cooper. I've got him in that other league too.

Nathan Karns tossed six scoreless innings in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Padres in Cactus League play, conceding four hits and no walks while striking out nine.

After Wednesday's start, Masahiro Tanaka has now thrown 18 2/3 scoreless innings this spring. Tanaka is penciled in as the Yankees Opening Day starter, but despite his strong preseason, he feels he can be better. Tanaka thinks he can be sharper, but his 22 strikeouts over those 18 2/3 innings is something that the Yankees will surely be happy with.

not many ST faps from the Reds camp. huh wonder why.

Peraza is having a good spring.
But yeah, frick that team.

Jose Peraza has put together an impressive spring with the Reds. The young second baseman is batting .320 with eight runs, five RBI, and four stolen bases. With Brandon Phillips now playing with Atlanta, Peraza is widely expected to win the Reds' second base job and open the regular season as a regular player in their lineup. He is a solid fantasy option as he has the potential to be a plus contributor in batting average, runs, and stolen bases this season.
But yeah, frick that team.

The Yankees named Greg Bird their Opening Day first baseman, and he celebrated by launching two homers against the Phillies on Wednesday. The first base job looked to be up for grabs this offseason when the Yankees signed Chris Carter to a one-year deal, but Bird has answered by hitting .439 with six home runs this spring.

Montas, who earned a two-inning save in Wednesday's 5-3 Cactus League win over the White Sox with four strikeouts and only hit over two innings, is a contender for the final bullpen spot, John Hickey of the East Bay Times reports.
Analysis: The young fireballer has racked up a sparkling 9:1 K:BB along with a 1.13 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over his four appearances and possesses the ever-coveted 100 mph fastball. While the A's would ideally like to have more than one southpaw in the bullpen, the struggles of Daniel Coulombe and Ross Detwiler, who each sport a 9.39 ERA, are making that possibility increasingly less likely. That leaves a potential spot open for Montas, who's projected as a starter over the long term but could serve as an excellent late-inning option in the interim.
Don't know why they keep trying to hold this dude back. He's ready.
