Am I crazy for considering Jimmy Graham in the first round picking 8th in a 10 team league?

6pt TD, plus yardage bonuses.

Funny thing is the guy picking 9th is making it known he is going after him in the first. So its either I go for graham in the first and follow it up with a WR or RB. Top 5 QB's will most likely be gone before I pick.

If QB go in the first then I would go rb/rb. This wold make sure you got two stud running backs.

If he is there then I will go for him and follow up with Bryant if possible.

I'm just trying to figure out different scenarios.

Is this your first draft? Graham is a stud, but if he gets taken in the first round of a 10 team league, then please send me an invite so I can come wreck shite there.

No, I have been playing for along time. What I am looking at is there is a huge decline is production of TE's after Graham with Gronk still not healthy and Hernandez in jail.

He basically puts up WR type numbers. I have won my league a couple times by going WR/WR in 1st and 2nd rounds.

If you're dying for a TE, take Gronk in the 3rd or 4th then. He will kill it even if he only plays 12 games. Getting a backup pretty late will be easy. Taking Graham in the 1st round is crazy.

I understand his great #s and would love to have him. Not in the 1st round.

You won going WR/WR in the first 2 rounds? Who were your RB's in rounds 3 and 4? Who was your QB and TE those years?

Not saying it's impossible, but seems like people in your league know not what they do

Saw on the NFLN ticker last night that Graham is projected 2.60 points Week 1.

LOL.

I think anyone taking Graham that early is nuts. If you got the 6th best RB last year you were over 100 pts behind the #1 last year. If you got the #6 TE you were only 45 pts behind Graham. I got Gonzales in the beginning of the 5th round this year and he was only 9 pts off of Graham's point total.
ETA: And I am in a 12 man league
