Drafting all Saints theory......
Posted by Herb484 on 8/19/14 at 1:58 pm01
I have the 5th pick in a 12 team league. If I went JG first, Brees second and drafted the wr's based on Colston, cooks and stills....how productive do you think this could honestly be? It is a PPR league and all Td's are 6 points. Thank you.

WR and RBs would be weak.

I have one more spot in my league, do you want to join?

It wouldn't work out well for you.
However, last year the broncos might've gotten you to the playoffs. In standard scoring (4 pt pass td and no ppr), a lineup of Peyton, Moreno, ball, dt88, welker, decker, Julius Thomas, prater, and Denver D averaged 115 pts per week.

Pretty sure this is not a serious idea. If it is, put it to rest.
1. Brees will not be there on the way back in round 2.
2. Noticed that you haven't named any RBs. I know why. No one would willingly enter a season with a backfield populated by Saints players.
3. That bye week would suck.
Enough said.

Last years Broncos is the only way that could have been close to feasible.
Top QB, top 5 back, two top ten wr, very good flex, top two te, high scoring kicker, average defense. 2013 Denver would have been sick. RB2 would be a little weak most weeks.

I would be interested to see how well a team would do if the owner went JG/Brees in the first two rounds. But certainly not the rest of the team.
