drafting 8th in a 10 team league. have a question

standard non ppr. 6pt pass td
say calvin drops to me in the 8th spot and it comes back around to me and peyton is there for the taking. do I take him or take someone like leveon, doug, arian ect. or do i take another elite receiver?
eta: wouldn't consider foster just throwing his name out there.

6 pt td passes....take manning if you can. He'll probably be gone.
2nd option, take best available in your opinion of mega, graham, dt88, or a rb on the board and draft Rodgers or brees in the 2nd.

i drafted 8th in my 10 team league and megatron dropped to me so i took him. manning went 10th graham 11th and aj green 12th so i took demariyus with the second round pick. it ended well because i got andre ellington and gio bernard the next two rounds
so dont be scared if you take the next elite receiver it can definitely work out

So are you guys saying that, in a 6 pt passing TD league, a top 3 qb (Manning, Brees, Rodgers) is definitely the best pick in the first round if you have a chance at one of them??
Reason I ask is bc I have this situation coming up in a few days…3rd pick overall in a 6 pt passing TD league…

Same here. I've only played 12 team leagues, but a couple of guys dropped out late in my work league so I'll be in a 10 team league for the first time. I usually wait till at least the 6th for QBs, but I'm thinking in this 10 team league I am going to try to get one out of Brees/Manning/Rodgers and Calvin/AJ/Demariyus in the first 2 rounds.

I think the difference between a top qb and the next tier is already a gap. With the 6pts per td manning, brees, and Rodgers should out score every player in the league by at least 100 points.
I do agree that there are still good qb options in later rounds and the rb depth appears weak so you need to rbs early, but I'd take a qb in the 1st or 2nd if it's one if those 3.
