Picking 3rd. 10 man league. Standard scoring.

What are some good strategies this years besides WR/RB first 5-6 rounds?

Your last two picks should be a defense and a kicker

The best strategy is to not tie yourself down to a specific strategy. If AB and OBJ are gone, I like Gurley at 3 rather than Julio.

Don't take any WR other than AB at that spot. I'm in the same type and position, but a 12 man. Praying Gurley falls. If he and AB are both gone, which I really don't think AB is going 1 or 2 in our league, it'll be between AP and DJ for me most likely.

There isn't 1 set strategy that is guaranteed to win. You need to be flexible based off of what happens and what is available. Draft best value. Now what that means can be pretty complicated and difficult to determine.

I tend to be more traditional and go for rb's early. I play standard like you. QB's have a lot of depth, and you can probably find a starter quality deep into the draft or even in free agency if lucky. But if I get a shot at one of the elites in round 4 or so then I will take a shot. Also if Gronk is around end of 1st or beginning on 2nd (probably won't be) then I would have to think about it.

I like to use draft sheets that have an emphasis on positional value. It's more in line with my thought process. The down side of these is that the sheets are only as good as the projections which are historically very bad even from the best analysts. You still have to go with your gut and personal knowledge on some decisions and feel out the flow of the draft. And then get a little lucky.

Either way, I have fun.

Yes there is a strategy that can win this for you.

Don't draft a QB until 8-9th round you can steal 2 skill players under the nose of everyone else in your league. Most players will have 1 and some will even have 2 QBs by the 8th -9th round. You can still get a Carr or Daulton even.
