NBA has been a nightmare for me lately. All of the highly owned players keep balling out. Finding an edge is pretty difficult at this point in the season. You have to pretty much have a near perfect lineup to have a chance.

Thoughts on Lawson for tonight?

I only play cash games so not speaking on tourney strategy but I gave up on fading high ownership guys solely b/c they're highly owned a long time. Pick your two studs who you think will be good value, pick your two low cost guys who should be good value and fill it in from there.

He wont be highly owned tonight. Milwaukee is really tough on Guards. If you are playing in a tourney and want to choose someone that wont be owned much, then he will be one of those guys if you like him enough to gamble with him.

Mo Williams is similarly priced (at least on Draft Kings) and has scored 44-plus fantasy points in two straight games. He plays the Lakers tonight who are the worst D against PGs, so he will be one of the most owned guys tonight (if not the most). Mo will be your direct competition in most leagues tonight if you go with anyone other than him at PG, imo

Edit: listening to fantasy sports channel on Sirius. They just talked about Lawson. Said he could be a good play tonight in tourneys only. High risk/high reward play who could have a great night. Don't play in cash games due to matchup. Strictly a tourney play.

Cheaper guys who may have value tonight:

Tony Snell, Chi - should get the minutes with butler out

Corey Brewer, Hou - should get the minutes with Harden out

Marcin Gortat, Was - Hasn't scored less than 27 points in his last five games. Averages 35 fantasy points against Chicago this season (3 games)

Nikola Mirotic, Chi - Should play big minutes with all of Chicago's injuries, especially with Taj out. Scored 40-plus fantasy points in 31 minutes against the Clippers on Sunday

Jae Crowder, Bos - Averaging about 29 minutes in last five games and has put up 30-plus fantasy points in 4 of those 5 games.

Will Barton, Den - very cheap. Scored 20-plus fantasy points in five straight games and 34-plus FP in two of the last three.

Wayne Ellington, Lak - 30-plus FP in three straight games.

Lebron should destroy Boston. Cousins is playing tonight against NY and should go off. And, probably like everyone else, I believe Mo Williams will exceed value against the Lakers tonight. Any tourney's I play tonight will probably involve these three guys and then some combination of those cheaper guys above. So it'll be another Stars & Scrubs night for me instead of going with a more balanced combo.

That's pretty much exactly how I play it, and have done very well so far, on a no rake site.

I've taken a small chunk of my winnings and deposited into fanduel just to play some tourneys.

I made 4 lineups tonight in the $15k Swat #2, or something like that.

Gonna play a few bucks a night just on tourneys on FD for a bit, see how it goes.

You have to accept the fact that most of the people playing know what they're doing and the higher ownership are the safest plays. Balance your lineup, I usually look for 4.5x value out of the high price guys, 5x for mid, and 6x for the 4.5k and unders. The good nights are great and the bad nights are usually small losses unless there's an injury or a freak occurrence.

so funny, I'm literally in the same boat, and do the same exact things as you.

Looks like a little beginner's luck. I know the general idea of how to put together a big tourney lineup, but I'm pretty clueless as to how to differentiate multiple lineups in terms of strategies in doing so.

I played 1 big $1 tourney, 17,000 entries. I had 15 entries, 5 lineups with 3 entries each. 3 of the lineups were duds, 1 narrowly missed cashing, but the last lineup finished 36th place which was $30x3 entries for $90 on my $15 play.

Thanks!

Anyone know if Whiteside and Len are playing tonight?

Has there been any confirmation of a suspension/no suspension?

No suspension from league. Fines for both. Their teams can still discipline them, but that's not likely to happen.

AD is back with a vengeance. I cannot believe he was only 5% owned today.

2% in the 17k entry tourney I'm in on FD. 5 entries, 3 may cash, and one is sitting at 65th place with 345 points with Redick left to go.

Night #2, more beginner's luck!

Made 5 lineups again, 2 had Westbrook and 2 others had AD.

It was the same tourney as above, $1 fee and 17,000 entries.

My 5th lineup was a dud, finishing around 15,000th. But my other 4 finished 20th, 24th, 34th, and 183rd. The $5 bet netted me $160, I believe. The bad thing is I usually triple the bet for each lineup but I just forgot, so it coulda been $480. Doh!!! But I'll take it.

Good stuff. Remain humble. GPPs can put you in your place fast.

I've whittled away most of what I earned in football season. Still up overall but not by a lot.
