12-Team PPR
I can definitely use help at WR being mine are so inconsistent.
I currently have Steve Smith, Michael Floyd, Keenan Allen, Terrance Williams, and Cordarrelle Patterson.
Best available free agents:
Andre Holmes
Cecil Shorts III
Allen Robinson
Malcom Floyd
Davante Adams
Should I drop Patterson or another WR for one of these guys?

IMO I would drop him for a team that is consistently putting up points and throwing. Best bets are Holmes and Floyd.

If I don't trade him today I'm going to drop him for ODB

eta: not sure I would drop him for any of the WRs you listed. He has more potential than any of those. Unless you are desperate to plug in a WR, I would keep him on the bench if possible.

Dropped him a couple of weeks ago. I'll never feel comfortable starting him.

I've been eyeing Holmes more than any other free agent WR. Seems to have plenty of upside and with the Raiders always playing from behind and Carr not afraid to air it out seems like he can at least end up being a good flex option. I might just cross my fingers that no one picks him up and give Patterson one more chance week 7. Holmes will likely be covered by Patrick Peterson this coming week so if no one picks him up this week then I might able to just buy low on him next week and grab him if he falls off the radar.

I'm doing the same. But, instead of waiting until next week I'll be cutting C-Patt this week. Just hoping that Holmes makes it through waivers. I currently have the 2nd spot and don't want to give it up for Holmes when I'm much more RB-needy than WR. I will, however; be setting my alarm clock for 4 AM to grab Holmes immediately following the WW if he slips through.

if you're going to stash a WR, pick up Odell Beckham. He has way more upside.

Holy shite. Do this now, if you haven't already. Especially with the Cruz injury, Odell is a much better play than Patterson.

Patterson will have one or two big games, but generally give you backup type points

Patterson has shown absolutely nothing all year. He's hurt and he cant get open. It's the same problems he's been having since day 1 rookie year. Bridgewater is young and inconsistent. Patterson is nothing more than a pipe dream this year and shouldnt be owned in any leagues IMO. I would want a WR on a team that scores pts and has opportunity to get into the endzone. All of those FA's you listed have more potential than Patterson. Hell I would drop Allen, Williams and Patterson for most of those FA's. And how is OBJ still available in your league?
