An owner offers a trade, beckham for forte 2 weeks ago. He says he thought trades expire weekly (which they don't unless the owner physically makes the trade expire)

The other owner jumps on the trade Tuesday AM, after it is announced that forte is out with an mcl.

I am commish and vetoed the trade... Now the owner that would have received beckham is crying. Am I right to veto this trade?

Yes you should veto the trade. You also should play on a site where the trade offer expires after 2 days. I've never seen a trade offer stand for 2 weeks. What site is this? Or is the way you have it set up?

In all my leagues I play in they usually expire after a few days.

Tough call as the Forte owner should have been proactive enough to cancel his trade

I think the trade should go through. The one who offered the trade should have paid better attention. Commish shouldn't have to bail out every owner that makes a bonehead move.

I wonder if that player would have been ecstatic had OBJ gotten injured and he accepted he trade?
