It's a good defense, but it's still a defense.

True but they have more points than he does so far in my league.

Hyde has been pretty awesome so far, the niners have a run-heavy offense and he is taking on the load. Keep him

Traded Maclin for them last week. Probably getting chided by the board by I was relatively stacked at WR/Flex as I was able to score John Brown from waivers before making the deal.

12T half PPR with a little pumped up DST scoring.

The '16 Vikings D (12.5) is ahead of '85 Bears (17.3), '00 Ravens (13.8) &' 15 Broncos (17.3) in ppg through each tm's 1st 4 gms per ESPN.

I have them in 2 leagues and im 7-1 combined. And it's not like theyve played bad offenses. If you can get them for an expendable guy I dont see the problem

Depending on league scoring...D's have value and the Vikings are worth trying to get but they are not worth a top 10 PPR RB(8th in my league right now). Hyde if healthy will finish no worse than top 12 at his position .

Well how does it work? I've never played fantasy before. Ive got some pretty good other RBs so I thought it wouldn't be that bad of a deal considering my defense sucks.

You have to look at relational value of the positions. You don't compare points scored between defenses and a running back. You need to weigh the increase in what ever value the Vikings d provides you over your current defense vs whatever drop off will occur with you sending out Hyde and having to move on to the next guy on your bench. With that said, you also need to realize Hyde as a top ten back has more inherent value than the number one def. You can prolly get more for him or send out lesser for the Vikings.

Except Hyde, considering his position, is not expandable.
Someone else in this thread mentioned Maclin, that makes sense because there are a lot of viable options at WR to ago around.
