what are the chances that he keeps his starting spot when matthews comes back?

None. He'll take woodheads spot

Zero, but how long does Mathews stay healthy once he's back?

Matthews did not do well before the injury. It will be a timeshare, but still Oliver has the best chance to make an impactful play.

This.
Mathews is 1 of the more injury prone RBs in the league. And before he was hurt, he had 70 yards on 23 carries in 2 games. Not too good. The Chargers planned on using a timeshare anyways with Mathews, Woody, and Brown. Woodhead is done, Brown sucks, and Mathews has already been hurt. The Chargers have run for 556 yards.... and Oliver has 215 of those yards in just the past 2 games and 256 of those total. He's clearly the most effective RB they have and he fits in with what they wanna do on O.
It will be a timeshare, but Oliver could get the most snaps and touches.
