I'm doing my first fantasy baseball league this year and was wondering if anybody had a particular draft strategy they usually go with. Here are the league details:

12 man snake draft (I drew first pick)
Head-to-head weekly scoring
--Set a lineup once a week

4 SP spots
2 RP spots
1 UTIL spot

Where do you think certain positions are thin or worth waiting on?

Thanks!

I like to wait on any kind of pitching and load up on offense 1st.

No prob. I'd go Miggy 1st pick overall. He's better than Trout in points formats. After that look for a stud SP in the 2nd. If Yu or Wainwright falls jump all over him.

Players like Prado and Carpenter are way more valuable in points formats by the way. Players who don't K-out and hit a lot of doubles are extra valuable.

Id go SP heavy to start the draft 3 of your 1st 6 picks should be SP... esp. ones that rack up the IP.

Is there an minimum inning requirement per week?
