Daily FAAB runs at 10:00 am CST
5x5 categories are R, HR, RBI, SB, OPS and QS, K, ERA, WHIP, S
1,400 season-long IP limit
18 starters (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3x0F, 2xU, 4xP, 2xSP, 2xRP), 5 bench spots, and 2 DL slots
Entry fee and payout structure
The league entry fee is now $100. The payout will be as follows (for 13 members): 1st = $800, 2nd = $400, and 3rd = $100.

I'm about 90% in. It always depends on what i have going on in March but as of now I'm in.
March 19th will not work for me though (have another draft). The 12th or the 26th are both good.
I'm ok with keeping the rules as is.$75 entry but keep the bottom feeder.

Does that mean the 26th is good or bad for you? It sounds like the 19th is not good for anyone.

It's not good but if it's the best option then I can do it. Would probably have to be in the evening, I'm going to try to book my flight today so I'll let you know what times could work.

I am for an increase in the entry fee. $75-$100 doesn't matter.
I am against any other changes. The format has worked out well the last few years and I prefer to keep it the same.

Gotcha. Let me know what time you book. I have to assume a 3 hour draft, so I will not start it later than 8 central, but 7 central would be preferred. Finishing by 11/10 pm would be reasonable.

It is a great and very fair format. I love it. If the other suggested rule changes do not gain any steam (besides my push), then we will only adjust the entry fee plan.

Gordon, I will add you to the list. To be honest, it scares me that you only have 9 posts, but I noticed that half of them are to join fantasy leagues. We would encourage you to post on here related to the league.

Owners "checking out" after they are out of the running is the easiest way to ruin an otherwise competitive roto league. This makes it one of the most important issues a commish will face.
I think you were on to something last year with the teired bottom feeder penalty. It still failed but i think it just needs a little tweaking. 15$ was not enough motivation. If we increase the bottom feeder and spread it out over the bottom of the standings i think it will give owners more motivation to keep setting their lineup throughout August & September.
Here is my proposal for a 14 team league with 75$ entry/ 25$ BF:
14- gets nothing back
13- 5
12th- 10
11th- 15
10th- 20
4th thru 9th- 25
3rd- 100
2nd- 300
1st- 800
May not solve the entire problem but its a good start and cannot hurt. I dont think simply raising the entry will help bc once your out of the running, that money is gone (whether its 50, 75 or 100 makes no difference at that point).

I don't hate that at all. I will put some proposal in the first two posts.
One added stipulation is that you will need to check in at season's end to confirm your Paypal (or Venmo if you absolutely necessary).
I also will only send the larger prize winnings through PayPal, and I would want to just use the same method for the way you sent that.
