I confess. And I'm a lifelong Republican.

I've never been this stunned.

I would have bet money.

Glad I'm not a betting man.

Me. I figured it would be close but she would ultimately win.

I did.

I thought the media narrative and Clinton name would be too much for Trump.

I, and many others, were obviously wrong.

Me. I just knew somehow someway that there was gonna be a "fix" of some sorts. I was sick yesterday and didn't even want to watch election returns.

My boys (24 and 19) and even my dtr (15) were all into it ... dtr left the room after a while as she was too nervous.

I was one. I thought the whole thing was rigged and I even thought Trump running as a Rep was part of a bigger Clinton scheme to steal the WH. Maybe it was and it still backfired on them.

Guilty as charged.

I always thought the Uniparty would 'find a way to win'.

Now I'm torn between asking for a coat and a seat on the train in hopes of some real, very necessary reform, or going full TX Tiger and assuming that he was a plant all along.

Thought The Don had a chance until I started actually watching the election. Then I just got a terrible feeling that they just weren't going to let him win no matter what. Went to bed after dems sent supporters home and was still nervous id wake up with Clinton as pres

When we first knew it was going to be Hillary vs. Trump I would have bet just about anything on Hillary.

As it kept going I started thinking more and more that Trump had a shot and could possibly make it close, but still never thought he could swing enough states to make it happen.

Going into last night, I would have still bet heavily on Clinton even though it was looking closer still... I would have been wrong.

I was never more than cautiously optimistic - the enthusiasm gap and stealth Trump voter (being missed by the pollsters) were real things - they were palpable. The negative baggage that each candidate had was a wash, IMHO. So, it came down to the baked in advantages for a Democrat in the EC (something being decried by the left today) - I thought a flip of FL was very possible, as was OH and NC maybe even likely. To get to 270, I thought PA was fool's gold - NH always seems to go their own way and MI and WI were considered too blue.

With Utah being questioned (they missed that - like a lot of things this cycle) and Colorado not really as in play as we would have liked - I honestly thought it would be either be an early night (for Hillary) or go until Dawn today.

I didn't watch a second of election day coverage until after 10:00 central - I picked up on this board that the NYT was saying 51% Trump - I literally said, "Oh shite. It's happening." - IRL, out loud to no one.

I then watched 4 hours of mostly FNC election coverage. Literally a miracle IMHO.
