I wasn't a TD poster then but I do remember how bad Romney got waxed. Was the TD poli board this confident in 2012?

I can't speak for the board but I knew we had lost the Friday before the election.

More confident in Romney IMO. This year I can't tell if many on here with the "MAGA" chants are tongue and cheek or serious. The confidence isn't that far off though. Hoping for a different result from 2012 though.

I knew it was over when I stood over 2 hours in line to vote with over 90% of the people there being black.

In Florida, it was obvious days before the 2012 election that Obama was going to win.

We were hoping for a miracle more than anything.

You had the usual merry band of overconfident windbags proclaiming landslide for Romney. That night was epic.

Never thought Romney would win.

Never thought McCain would win.

Never thought Trump would win but I sure as hell hope so.

This board was saying Romney won even after Ohio was called.

Yes.

Watch: in a couple weeks, at most, they'll hate Trump for losing.

Just like Romney.

TRUMP is within the MOE in every major swing state; Romney was playing from behind the whole time.

FWIW 538 had Romney at 10% and has Trump at 28%

Romney was doing better in the national polls than the swing state polls.

Trump is the opposite.

It was pretty ridiculous. They definitely thought Mittens would win

I feel like you have to account for the Joshua Chamberlain factor though.

He had a lot of people buy into his shtick.

I didn't participate in PT back then but I was confident.

Mainly it was my belief that how could they vote Obama into a second term based on his first term. It still baffles me.

With Trump, I am cautious but optimistic. He is a very polarizing figure so I do believe there is a hidden Trump vote that pollsters don't have a handle on.
