Voter ID is a non issue, or should be everywhere.

I had to show my state issued photo ID (driver's liscense) to vote in Virginia. Always have had to produce it. No problem. Since Virginia has had this requirement with no problems, why is it such a problem in certain states that have tried to enact voter ID laws? The answer is: It isn't. Not requiring voter ID just means it is much simpler to commit voter fraud with illegal voters. And the democrats are the primary beneficiary of that voter/election fraud.

I have always had to show my Drivers License in Louisiana. I'm not sure why it's an issue to require it.

I showed my driver's license when I went 20 minutes ago. No issue with it at all.

But BamaATL says that voter ID laws are racist, so it must be true...

Here ya go, ReauxlTide222. This link shows the states where you can just walk up and vote without producing a voter ID. I wonder how many dead people have or will vote in these states? LINK

One Citizen One Vote

The only way that works is IF we can confirm who is voting.

You can't confirm who is voting without ID

It is really that simple.

Personally, I am for everyone who is a legitimate citizen to vote.

I don't even care who they are voting for, just vote.

But Damn I'm tired of hearing that voter ID suppresses minority voting. Everyone today has to have an ID just to even halfway function in this country.

There is no way you can convince me that Voter ID prevents legitimate voters from voting

And Florida is photo ID "requested." Could I have refused and still voted?

It's because white liberals believe that blacks are not intelligent enough to find the DMV or get an ID.

More recently they began to claim the same for Latinos.

I had to have photo ID and match my signature electronically to my registration to get a normal ballot here in FL.

Otherwise if you are voting in the correct precinct and you are listed on the registry you can vote without ID. You will be given a provisional ballot in this case.

All Virginia voters must bring one of the following forms of photo voter ID to vote early or on Election Day. IDs will be accepted if they are either current or did not expire before Nov. 8, 2015.:

Valid Virginia Driver’s License or Identification Card
Valid Virginia DMV issued Veteran’s ID card
Valid United States Passport
Other government-issued photo identification cards (must be issued by US Government, the Commonwealth of Virginia, or a political subdivision of the Commonwealth)
Tribal enrollment or other tribal ID issued by one of 11 tribes recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia
Valid college or university student photo identification card (must be from an institution of higher education located in Virginia)
Valid student ID issued by a public school or private school in Virginia displaying a photo
Employee identification card containing a photograph of the voter and issued by an employer of the voter in the ordinary course of the employer’s business

quote:

You can apply for a Virginia Voter Photo ID Card throughout the year from any local voter registration office, even on Election Day. Once you have completed the Virginia Voter Photo Identification Card Application (English | Español) in the presence of a designated Virginia Election Official, they will take your picture and have you sign a digital signature pad. Your Virginia Voter Photo ID Card will be printed and mailed to your address on file in the Voter Registration System.

If states simply copied the Virginia Voter ID law they would be fine. However, States like Texas,NC, and Wisconsin are going beyond the Virginia ID law standards. Virginia makes it pretty easy to get a Voter ID even on election day.
