This election confirmed many thing for me

1. I am completely out of touch with america. Outside of my wife's family, i know one trump supporter IRL.
2. Hillary clinton is extremely unlikeable. While she got more votes than DJT, she under performed romney and lost key solid democratic states.
3. We have a culture where sexual assault, even in jest or light hearted manner, is acceptable to a large segment of the population.
4. The MSM sucks
5. My friends are easily upset and prone to going off on tirades
6. That the democratic party offers few things in terms of ideas that are appealing to americans, and that it needs to do some soul searching to see how to broaden its appeal.
I also learned a few things like that the polls were mostly wrong. I personally think it was the likely voter model that got it wrong, turnout was down what 5%, despite an increase in the population. I also learned exactly how angry people are about the current situation in america. I think I underestimated the anger.

The democrats went far left for too long and alienated what use to be their core constituents. Working Americans old use a hand up not a handout that they'll be dependent on. Americans still want their independence.

Sexual assault has never been more investigated or prosecuted than this time in history.
To the extent - that every complaint is considered gospel and everyone runs with it.

Hillary has famously sheltered and defended someone accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
So if that was indeed a point, it was a point against Hillary.

No we don't. No one is for rape. There isn't a segment of the population that's pro sexual assault just as there isn't anyone who is pro murder or pro arson.
