What should Mr. Trump demand? Is it worth spending some capital on controlling the House Leadership?

On the one hand, he tried to sabotage Trump. On the other, he knows he is in the doghouse so would be a loyal soldier.....until he isn't.

Thoughts?

Trump to Ryan: "you better do as I say or I will get you replaced! Your choice, which is it?"

Trump shouldn't demand a damn thing concerning who the House chooses as their leader.

I expect Trump to work with whoever the House chooses as Speaker.

If he supports the policy keep him in place. Do not need an over the top Pelosi type polarizing Congress.

He has to keep him......at this point it's counterproductive to start a war with your own Speaker.......plus he now owns Ryan.

Reports were that Ryan and Walker helped raise $50M but for the down ticket folks, not Trump.

Dems are hard-on for Ryan now - Trump needs him for unity.

Are you frickin crazy? He just delivered the Presidency for Trump by getting him Wisconsin free and clear along with Priebus and Walker. Trump is probably in a back room right now on his knees servicing both of them.

Think about it Romney could not get Wisconsin despite having Ryan as his running mate, Mc Cain, couldn't, W never could, Dole couldn't and HW couldn't. The difference was having the higher ups of the Republican Party coming from Wisconsin.

He needs to stay. Trump can't start his presidency by fighting with his own party and the legislative branch.

There will be a time to move Ryan aside, now is not the time.

It's no secret that Ryan wasn't fully on board. But I don't think Trump will conclude Ryan was actively trying to sabotage him (like some GOPers were).

Ryan was trying to play both sides for both outcomes. You can say he should have bowed to Trump at the outset, but I don't really understand that mindset.

As a conservative who isn't a populist but who is pretty eager to see what Trump can do, I think a cooperative Ryan serving as a bright policy mind and a check on Trump and the Democrats is a good thing.

I think this is one of the characteristics that earned the epithets from me and others concerning many of what I called Trumpettes.

You are invested in worship rather than results. Paul Ryan represents a fantastic leader in the HoR and needs to be respected for that.

Conservatism had better not ever diverge into hero-worship rather than merit based.

What a load. Ryan is not a check on Democrats, but even more than that, Trump just won a yuge frick you obamacare and repeal Odickface EOs and Ryan better nod with approval accordingly.
