+1

Has always hit where my field tips hit. No tuning. Super sharp and can be re-sharpened easily.

Shot placement with all is the key.

Hijack, what are you currently using? I went with GT XT Hunters. I wanted something that would shoot straight through a feral hog. Looking to get 1/2 doz of FMJ too. End hijack.

Thanks to all for their take. I went and researched all the one's cited. At this point I guess I am still old school (or just old) but just don't think I would feel comfortable with a mechanical. Maybe do some testing later. I think I am going to go with either the G5 Montec or Striker.

anyone try Spitfires?

yep, ever since they came out,,,, that's what I still shoot.
lotsa good stuff these days, there used to not be. I really don't have a clue how many deer I've killed with them, but started with spitfires when mechanicals first came out and I'll finish with them.
all parts of bow hunting involve confidence and competence. that takes time and practice. get something, practice with it and "stick" with it.

I get a kick out of reading these broadheads threads at the folks switching every year, sometimes in the middle of the year, because of "truth" things like great sales, utubes, and cool names.
these days, most all things are pretty decent, I just wish they would practice and stick with something. oh well, these companies spend more money on marketing than they do on product and I guess it's working..

Good choices, but let me put this little gem out there. QAD Exodus hog kill. See the damage around the 35 second mark. Also its a pretty funny video NSFW mild cursing. Also not safe for animal lovers.

BTW, the only reason im pushing the QAD's is because I won a free pack of them on Facebook during Bowtech's 25 days of Christmas contest. LOL

Graphic Rage Broadhead Highlights

Get's my blood pumping!!!

That being said.... its all about shot placement

as for not feeling confident with mechanicals, the products out there today are solid. Good mechanicals will open every time

I look every year for something to replace what I've been using, and every year I realize there is simply no reason to as long as I can find blades.

you spear chuckers make me laugh

i shoot the cheapest 75 grain broadheads i can find

my bow is over 20 years old, and I cant find an expiration date on it.

a good shot is a good shot, get close enough and then cook some rice
