Birth control is not free. Someone has to pay for it. And under obamacare, it is me and the other taxpayers.

IT IS ONLY OFFERED THROUGH INSURANCE! jesus. You obviously don't understand that law. My goodness.

If someone HAS A POLICY and PAYS A PREMIUM, they don't have to pay a copay for certain birth controls (determined by the insurance companies).

it's like talking to a damned wall.

What if I would like to contract with an insurance company and I don't desire to purchase birth control coverage?

Again, kalaidescope, let's not derail this thread into a this vs. that. We were doing good earlier and i don't want it getting sidetracked with ingorant bastards like spidertuba. Let's stay on the subject. Do you support this bill that was introduced?

What talking points? I don't consider myself liberal. I'm just discussing a few points.

I haven't read the entire thing.

I just said it isn't ALL bad. I am discussing the things I think are "not all bad" about the bill.

I don't support a TOTAL repeal of Obamacare, no.

eta: when it seems as though the "total repeal" would just be playing politics and not looking out for the best interests of the American people.

Maybe i'm confused. Are you arguing for or against this bill? It seems for. In that case i think we are proving each others point.

quote:

If someone HAS A POLICY and PAYS A PREMIUM, they don't have to pay a copay for certain birth controls (determined by the insurance companies).

But, under OBAMACARE, (i'm talking obamacare now, we all pay into 1 pot, or we get penalized for not paying into that pot. So either you comply with the Obamacare mandates, or you are penalized, then you get to pay your insurance rates. So again, i am still paying for part of your birth control.

This bill gives me a choice.

quote:

I don't think having free birth control options available to people who pay for health insurance is a bad thing.

i don't think it's bad to give people the option to keep their offspring on their insurance until they are 27.

I don't think this plan is preventing a private insurer from offering those benefits...

But I have to say if its that important find a job that offers you individual healthcare or insurance pay for it yourself. You're a fricking adult nothing is preventing you to get coverage at 27...

Its really a strawman argument anyway.

I said that Obamacare isn't ALL bad. I am telling you what parts I think are not all bad.

I pointed out TWO parts of the several thousand, that I think are good.

Why should i have to pay for someone else's birth control?

No IUDs, pecker pills, birth control pills, rubbers, or diaphragms.

If you need to screw, it's on you.

Did you read through this bill? I'm not trying to belittle you. But you probably did not. Not many here have.

Read through the bill, what is offered here, is light years better than the abortion that is Obamacare. Those specific 2 issues you have on it, are included here. The difference is that it is your personal choice of which insurance company you want to choose that covers it. You have the option.

Again, unemployment is extremely high for people that age.

eta: Do you think 18 year olds should be allowed to be covered by their parents? They are adults.

Why have the majority of the jobs created this year been part time jobs?

If they contract for that provision. I am in favor of letting a private company and private individuals enter into contracts agreed upon between those parties.

Absolutely not.

That's why I asked you if it was a total repeal. I told you I didn't read every word. To be honest, I read very few words.

Then I said "Obamacare isn't ALL bad." and went on to discuss the aspects that I think are not bad.

You people then started grilling me on random points I didn't make. and here we are. I stand by my posts.

I'm not blaming, it's pretty boring shite trying to sift through legal jargon.

Meh, we went back and forth, and got sidetracked. i hear what you are saying, and IMO, this bill is much better than Obamacare.
