Fourth grade students in Vermilion Parish, La. were given a homework assignment that included words like “Po Pimp” and “mobstaz,” but school officials said the worksheet was age appropriate based on an education website affiliated with Common Core education standards.

Being from THE Vermilion Parish, its refreshing to see that kids will finally learn something they can use in life

Vermillion Parish + pimps + mobstaz

I can see that. Fits perfectly, really.

Well, it might not be the best idea, but I can see where the teacher was going with this. Tornado, Twista, the Twist etc.

It's not like it's a word problem: Ray Ray the Po-Pimp has 12 Hos making $500 per night. Ray Ray's bottom bitch is bringing in $800. How much money will Ray Ray lose if the Mobstaz steal his bottom bitch and two hos?

ETA: Did any of you people bitching even read the homework sheet?

Jeez it was the name of an album and a group.

Not a big deal, they were on a theme of tornado based names.

yeah a tornado is a weather event, the other two have to do with music and entertainment.

Remember those tests they would give that would tell you to read all the directions before you started and the last one would say to just write your name and you were done?

When I was in fourth grade I remember learning about New Orleans and the word "prostitute" was in our text books. Some kid raised his hand and asked what a prostitute was. The student-teacher's face was priceless.

For the record, I turned out alright even though I read the word prostitute as a fourth grader.

Really think that's appropriate for a young kid?
