Go to home depot or lowes and get a 1/4" clevis pin with holes in it. I have pics and details on how to install it here.

I guess there are many different tips and tricks to install the pins and such. I never knew this and just went with what I had and I had no problems.

re: Official AR-15 thread

Getting my first AR15 tomorrow. I am buying a Smith & Wesson M&P15. I am also getting 400 rounds of ammo, 3 mags, carry bag and original box for $1100.00.

Pitch me some ideas to add on like sights, red dot, etc, any ideas welcome.

Also what do I need to clean my new toy!
Thanks.

re: Official AR-15 thread

I know this is off topic of buying/building an AR, but I had someone break in my house in Southdowns a couple weeks ago and steal 4 of my guns and one of them was an AR I had just finished and I figured i would post a pic with the small chance of one of my OB brothers possibly seeing it in a pawn shop or for sale somewhere.

re: Official AR-15 thread

think I'm gonna go with just iron sights on this one. my other AR has a Primary Arms red dot and to be honest, I feel like the iron sights are much easier to acquire a target with. it'll be fun comparing the 2 though

Yeah I like using the vortex for quick target to target, but I'm definitely more accurate with iron sights at longer ranges
