Top 5 favorite motors

What's your favorite.Don't matter if it was put in a car or truck.

1 - Ford 427 SOHC

2 - 1993 Toyota Supra 3.0L 2JZ-GTE twin sequential turbo

3 - 1987 Buick Grand National GNX 3.8l turbocharged.

4 - 1967 Cheverolet Z-28 CAMARO "302"

AND THE FINAL MOTOR

5 - 1987 Ford fuel injected "5.0" 302. This motor was a game changer from all those years of emissions bullcrap and started a huge aftermarket business for performance parts.

I'm still partial to the LS1, and think it changed a lot of things for GM. I was getting insane numbers out of it with a stock bottom end, and even the stock intake before I got the FAST 90mm.

re: Top 5 favorite motors
1. The Chevy 350
in any form the good ol 5.7 is arguably one of the best motors of all time.

2. The Ford 302/5.0
First engine I every really fooled with other than the 289, but these always had a lot of power and an incredible sound.

3. The Dodge 318/5.2L
any discussion of the big three American small blocks should be about the 350, 302 and the 318. (period)

4. The BMW b38 4.4l V-8 no it doesn't belong in this list, but it's my list, and this baby is sitting in my garage ready for my next project after I got a nice wrecked donor 740il. Looking to put BMW drivetrain in a classic car. Will be my next long term project.

5. The Wankel Rotary engine, to date only the Rx7 and RX8 have used them, but the simplistic approach is incredible, always a surprise that they are not in greater use.

re: Top 5 favorite motors
always shocked me that chevy gave up on the GNX motor. It's the 4.3 which is a 5.7 with two cylinder lopped off, which next to the 3800 is the greatest V6 engines of all time. The 3800 S/C was a beast but nothing like the GNX.

re: Top 5 favorite motors
The GN motor was a 3.8l Buick engine. 4.3 was a Chevy v6. Still an under rated engine to say the least. Can still remember the ads. Go Fast with Class.

re: Top 5 favorite motors
wouldn't the 4.3 supercharger directly bolt onto a 350? I know for the most part the engines were the same. The accessories were interchangeable at least.

The 1990 Corvette ZR1 motor was an interesting piece.
How many of you knew it was made by Mercury Marine? Car was developed with the help of Lotus.
