Trayvon Martin Protesters Delayed Sick Child’s Trip to ER

quote:

HOUSTON – Hundreds of people marched in protest to the George Zimmerman verdict on Monday.

“No justice, no peace,” they yelled as they walked from the Byrd Funeral Home in the 2500 block of Wheeler to the Southmore Street overpass bridge near Highway 288.

Just after 7p.m. Monday, the demonstrators spilled out onto the road and blocked traffic for about 15 minutes.

“I looked up and I see all the protesters, they’re everywhere,” said Georgia, who asked that her last name not be used. “So, we got into the traffic and they’re stopping us and not letting us go.”

Georgia was on her way to Texas Children’s Hospital in the Medical Center because her 7-year-old granddaughter was having an allergic reaction to some medication.

Georgia’s daughter was driving and tried to go around the demonstrators by driving on the grassy shoulder.

“One of them was hitting the windshield and I was just screaming, ‘We’ve got to get to the hospital,’ and they were screaming and chanting,” she said. “All I could think of was, I got to get my granddaughter to the hospital.”

“My mom rolled down the window,” said Georgia’s daughter. “She said, ‘We’re trying to get my granddaughter to the hospital,’ and a guy just started hitting her.”

No thanks. I already know how those comments turn out.

QX just saying what needs to be said to claim righteousness. He has no problem breaking laws as long as he avoids personal responsibility and it promotes his business of extortion through racial divide.

Would be interesting to know verbatim what was being yelled out the window.

This Trayvon Martin situation is going to start a race war that will not make life better for blacks if that's what they're thinking. They're already the bottom rung of our society and let's just say this whole situation doesn't make them look any better.

Possibly. Currently, the Hispanic population isn't rallying behind Zimmerman & not paying much attention. There may come a time, though, that they stop identifying as a similar minority group and vote opposite from the AA movement if it gets too ugly.

probably along the lines of, "im rushing my granddaughter to the hospital get out of the way you apes"

I know all bets would be off if my loved ones access to medical care was blocked, I don't care if it was 30 of them. The courts could sort it out later as far as Im concerned, she was getting to the hospital while all the protestors in the way get laid out by my car and if you say you wouldn't do the same in an emergency you're lying to yourself, this woman is lucky her daughter was driving the car and not her husband or son, bc a man would've been a man.

Culturally, Zimmerman is white. The Hispanic population wants nothing to do with him.

I'm a lot more concerned about the actions of the protesters than I am about the comments by the readers. As long as the readers stay in their houses and don't bother anybody or break any laws, they can think or say anything they like.

Here's the video. LINK
While they have no business blocking the highway and especially this family, it's a bit much to say they were hitting on the lady. But then they may have, had they not sped up.

My question to you LA is this... You see how this thread turned out. Calling the protestors "apes". You claim to fear for this country but in your own little way you fan the flames of hate by constantly posting these threads which clearly incite racist behavior.

I am not for one second defending these protesters, but inciting more racist threads here and twitter and Facebook does little to calm what is becoming, very dangerous.

People here blame the media for inciting all this. I agree. Yet these same people are furling this fire with garbage threads like this one.

Apes? Really?

Well obviously. But it's annoying to be associated with these idiot protesters just because I share their pigment.

lltrue. But will they want to identify with the black race party if these protests get too often & too messy?

Hispanics, culturally seem to be all over the place. I think they are more like whites in that they aren't one "community."

you honestly think what's being said on social media is not flaming this even greater? Seriously?

Monkeys now? Really?

Nah calling blacks people apes and monkeys really doesn't worsen this.

I"m posting this information because I want people to see what's going on.

As I said earlier in this thread, I'm not worried about the comments of people who aren't doing anyting more than sitting in their living rooms and expressing opinions, however unpalatable those opinions might be. They can say and think what they like, as long as they aren't breaking any laws or hurting anyone.

I'm more concerned about the actions of those people in the video and I want Americas to see what these protesters are really doing.

I"m fanning the flames of hate by showing what the protesters are doing? Really? Would it be better if I said nothing? Would that make you happy?
