Now that Gomez and Villa are off the market, who do you guys think will be our potential striker targets if any?

There are targets. No way we don't have a new striker or two this year. It will probably be a bit of a surprise like Paulinho.

Like I said, I really hope the players decide they like the navy shorts with the blue tops.

They are growing on me more and more every minute.

And regardless of whether or not that is a legitimate site, I hate that move. We don't need a winger. We need a striker!

Apologies for posting so much, but I thought I would add this. Makes the blues more appealing when you see them during a celebration after a Bale goal.

Love the new kits. As for the striker situation...maybe Soldado or Benteke?

Shorts are cool, if they´re that length. Does Tottenham have enough following to have knockoffs of their kits produced (yeah, I know, a question for Sheep)?

I saw Tottenham knockoffs on several sites last year. (Was looking for a cheap youth sized jersey for my youngest brother.)

It would be great for you guys if you were to get Benteke.

Just curious, what do you guys think your starting XI will be next season? Let's go ahead and say y'all get Benteke for the sake of this discussion.

Tough to say. The midfield is extremely crowded. I'm not sure we'll have a set 11 for some time. I think we'll see a good bit of changes in the middle game-to-game.

re: Tottenham Hotspur 2013/14 Season Long Thread

svb, here is my ideal starting XI:

------------Benteke
-------------Bale
Lennon-Sandro - Paulinho - Dembele
BAE - Dawson - Vertonghen - Walker
------------Lloris

I doubt we get Benteke, but I think we do get a striker. I am sliding Dembele to the outside of the midfield. Not ideal, but I really want Paulinho and Sandro in the center. Those three might have to share time. Bale can move down opposite of Lennon because I think the ball movement is actually better with him on a wing, and he has a killer shot after a touch inside from the right (left footed). I think Assou-Ekotto probably needs to worry about his job with Danny Rose coming back from loan. We will see there.

I still haven't mentioned Dempsey, Holtby, and Sigurrdson (who may be gone).

So pumped about this team!

Man, this is tough to come up with a starting XI. I've decided that I need Sandro, Paulinho, and Dembele on the field. I also like to put Bale on the wing.

Wouldn't Bale be on the left with Lennon on the right?

I really like Bale on the right... You can't beat that left footed shot with a touch inside.

I guess so. I still prefer him to start of the left and drift a little during the match.
