I found I didn't need meetings and It's been 6 years now, so... I would have no problem going back and actually, after reading all of this, I think I may go to a couple to try and encourage people.

I haven't been in a few years. I need to get in there and give back a little bit. I have a close friend who is an addiction counselor that I talk to on a daily basis. The shite we talk about is hilarious. Any time I think my rock bottom was bad I always get him to retell me his story. It's good to laugh about that shite these days because sometimes I want to cry thinking about the inheritance I blew through.

Sis addicted to Adderall, wish we could get her to attend organized treatment.

If that is all she is addicted to you don't need to worry THAT much unless you see it hurting her and the people around her.

Trolling Kate Upton threads and now an actual heartfelt thread on recovering from addiction. Is there anything you don't troll?

Once again, he was telling the truth and not trolling.

I don't know your situation but I can promise you with 99% certainty I have spent more on drugs and booze, I would put my lifetime # at right around $500,000 if bar tabs are included. Thinking about that won't do you any good though so just move on!

It's been a saga over the past 3 years. Lost her job as a pharm sales rep, her fiance broke off their engagement, she stole family jewelry to pawn for money... shite is gettin serious. Tried the intervention thing but mom gets in the way. Long story short, she's moved in with mom and the rest of have all but abandoned the two of them. They can enable each other. Oh well, enough of my personal bullshite!

Is it football season yet?

Honestly, she has to hit her "bottom" and come to that decision on her own - otherwise its painful to watch, but it will never stick. Everyone has a different bottom. Some of us had high bottoms and some people have very low bottoms, but we all made the decision on our own to quit.

Best of luck.

I think I'm scheduled to tell my story this Saturday night in Baton Rouge. I should probably check into that.

Picked up a 7 year chip a few months ago.

I find it quite comforting that I no longer have to log onto the OT to see where the checkpoints are setup at.

Oh, 480 is a liar and a dick. But it seems he beat at least a few demons.

I could stop drinking tomorrow cold turkey with a script for 40 mg of Valium a day.

Or drive with one eye closed. And that one eye, everything looks like a kaleidoscope coming at you.

Which one? The one about you killing the most people was sarcastic but the one about me respecting true killers over people who join just for college money was not!!!!
