I don't know why, but this thread seems retarded to me. Maybe it's just me.

Natives locally hire only natives unless they don't have suitable alternatives. They are allowed to discriminate in hiring.

I could be wrong but I believe since Native Americans are considered citizens of their own sovereign nation which is inside the USA, they can make their own laws regarding anything that happens on their land.

which could be used as a competitive advantage over Corporations who must abide by laws.

Not here. They actually operate as corporations instead of tribes. The Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act set up regional and village corporations which gave them land and money to start with. Probably the largest private employers (collectively) in the state.

You are absolutely correct.

They don't have to follow any US labor laws as well as environmental laws which gives their businesses an unfair advantage over US businesses.

That was why Native Americans were able to build gambling casinos on their land even though the land was in states where gambling was illegal.

You are.

Reservations aren't their own Sovereign Nation.

Their land is still considered part of the US' sovereignty.

They are still under US Federal law, but they are exempt from State Laws.

There is no Federal Law against Casino's therefore they are allowed to operate Casinos on reservations.

I'm not sure, but I believe they do have to pay minimum wages due to that being a Federal requirement.
