Sherriff Joe Arpaio punished for effective policing...

...and enforcing federal immigration laws.

Profiling Latinos? I wonder how many Nigerians, Scandinavians, Belgians, and Tunisians are roaming Maricpo County?

The only thing keeping Joe Arpaio from driving high is marijuana laws.

enforcing federal immigration laws

A pointless and expensive exercise.

If the powers that be wanted to "secure the borders," there would be be "secured." As it turns out, they're busy propping an economy based on debt and phony money, and cheap labor acts as subsidies to hold down prices (to a degree).

But there's another question to be asked: should laws be enforced simply because they are law? Remember the plethora of outdated and nonsensical laws on the books. Should a law against chewing gum in public be enforced? What about jaywalking? What about speeding?

What is the baseline for laws needing to be enforced? And when should they be rightfully ignored?

The Obama administration says that anything and everything is fair game. You just cannot be aware that it is happening.

Arpaio should be in prison, he's a thug cop. He's pulling over many Hispanics who are American citizens and questioning their citizenship. He's a gov thug on par with the current admin but since his thuggery is in line with your beliefs you excuse it.

Dude is probably the only guy I trust to actually uphold the law, down there. Does he overstep? Probably, but he ain't scared of all the political correctness pussies out there. I respect the guy, he guards the "wall", and doesn't get nothing but crap, and yet he's there.

I'm am all about law enforcement agencies actually enforcing the law.

All I see my Sheriff's Dept doing is working traffic to pay for all of their cool, tricked out SUVs and boats.

A law enforcement agency actually enforcing any law is refreshing. I thought they were just revenue collectors now.
