The religious right. I respect their values, but don't like how they try to force them down the opposing views throats, and vice versa with the aetheist.

All of the anti-gay and anti-abortion crap. You have lost that war. There is no coming back, the tides have turned. Deal with it.

Wack jobs that think that the government will take up arms against its own citizens next week.

I also hate how some libertarians praise anarchy. They seem not to understand that the strong will rule and it would be worse than it is now.

I'm 100% down with the libertarian stand on personal freedoms, but I suspect a pure libertarian society would morph into something like feudalism.

So you are okay with the LGBT activists forcing florists, church camps, photographers to either provide their services for gay marriage ceremonies even thought it goes against the business/church camps religious beliefs?

Sexual activities, such as two men having such, are supposed to be private and if you do not agree with those type of practices, forcing others to provide services of such under the guise that their union is "marriage."

hate the religious nuts that are in the process of ruining the tea party and their original message. I hate how they perpetuate the GOP's problem of not being able to win without them and sure can't win with them. I hate how they try to force creationism being taught in schools.

I hate abortion and gay marriage pandering, hell I hate any pandering they do on social issues.

I hate the fiscal liberalism of the RINO's and their constant war mongering. I also hate their constant support for the abomination known as the war on drugs.

I pretty much agree with you on all this. The Republicans need to drop the anti-abortion shite now and maybe they can get some of that white female vote that has been fricking them in the arse lately. Gay marriage is on it's way so stop fighting that losing battle also. Focus on the fiscal side and people who's pocket books are feeling it will follow you.

Uh, private business and seperation of church and state, I don't think because they make gay marriage legal they can force I private business owner to cater the event etc. etc.

All of this not going to happen very fast if the RR has anything to say about it.

It's like I said, The GOP can't win with the religious right and they can't win without them so they're going to have to improvise and do a better job of campaigning and and get your people to the polls and not be totally incompetent like the Romney campaign was, especially on election day.

How much of an issue is this really? If you own a flower shop, someone one wants to buy several hundred dollars of flowers (or more), you want to say no? Why would you? You sell flowers, they want to buy them. Where is the conflict? You can't just refuse service to people because you don't like them. That's just anti-capitalism and makes no business sense.. Someone please explain this one to me..

I agree with you, I was just answering the other guys question where it seemed he thought the Government was going to force Church's and private businesses to render goods and services to gay weddings if they didn't want to.

Do you really think the RR would vote for Hillary over a pro-choice Repub. They would go lesser of two evils like everybody else. I think you would keep the vast majority of RR votes and pick up enough female fence post sitters to make up the stagger.

I don't know about Church's, I'm pretty sure they can just restrict their services to people that go to the church or something. But businesses I don't get.. If I owned a flower shop, catering business or restaurant and they wanted to pay full price for my services, I'd be all for it. Even if you don't approve of it and had the right to refuse, word of mouth will kill your business. I'm pretty sure the wedding planning crowd is really progressive and wouldn't appreciate that kind of attitude. So why even take the risk? If you really don't want to do it, just quote a really high rate and scare them off with the price. Or just say you are booked already. There are more subtle ways to do things..

As a conservative the religious nut-jobs pushing Creationism and the like really annoy me. So do the gun-extremists

Anti-gun loons who claim to be conservatives are what I can't stand.

Blaming and inanimate object for violence is the pinnacle of stupidity.

quote:

Blaming video games and movies for violence is also stupid.

Well, that would be the Democrats who want to fund studies to find out. If you are going to claim to be a conservative, try to keep up.

quote:

Fifty-one percent of Democrats, but only 32 percent of Republicans and 32 percent of independents, said they would favor funding for studies on video-game violence. Democrats were also the most divided over whether the current voluntary labeling system is adequate, with 43 percent saying it is and 40 percent saying that the government should mandate stronger warnings. A majority of both Republicans and independents said that the current system provides adequate warning.

Basically, anything having to do with personal behavior.

Even on the occasion that I generally might agree(which is rare), I could give two shits about it incomparison to govt SIZE and economic issues.

I with the RR would realize that govt SIZE is the biggest problem in their agenda.

IE, it is because the govt is so damned HUGE that basically, it's tentacles are everywhere. THEN, the govt uses the fact that it "funds" this or that as a basis for pushing out religion.

If the govt was substantially smaller, this would obviously be much less of an issue. What the RR needs to understand is that focusing on religous issues at the expense of small govt conservatism is actually HARMING religious social issues.

I hate when they do say what the people want to hear and then do the exact opposite once elected.
ex. No new taxes
Against abortion
marriage is between a man and a woman.

I never judge a canidate by what he says when running for office.

I judge them by their previous track record because that is their true nature. Ex. Obama
