And wouldn't take up much water in the pond

I heard some fellas talking about catching Kentucky bass in the Amite river. Is that another type of largemouth?

Why do they continue to put money into researching a fish enough to find out they are not all spotted bass. He'll I can't tell the difference of any of the bass.

Washitaw river is full of Kentucky bass. Caught several in Sam Rayburn a few weeks back also.

So I'm confused - the 'Choctaw' is a new species of bass (linked) but they've been caught in Petite Amite (by posters here) without anyone knowing that they weren't Spotted bass.

Da Fuk?

i think they (scientist) just realized that this wasn't the same species as a spotted bass.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way. I guess it's nice, from a scientific point of view, to discover more diversity of life in our waters, but to me, it's just another largemouth bass in the same way that shellcracker, bluewhistlers, bluegill, and redear are all just bream.
