This is the path I'm on (EE as well). Went to LSU off and on over the course of 5 years with work (~40 hours/week) being my main priority. Had just below a 2.0 before dropping out for 4 years. Started back up at UNO a year ago and have had a ~3.6 since then. Only moderatley eating into my original shite GPA, though.
It's fine really. If you didn't take many EE courses when you screwed up, then you can have a strong major GPA and flaunt that.
If you keep making mostly A's, your GPA will improve quickly.
As someone else said though, GPA is just a number that holds much less value in the real world than some people make it out to be. It doesn't account for trends and improvements you've made recently. Can't let something like that define you.
