Our forefathers who formed this government were concerned of tyranny being right around the corner even after they formed it, so yeah, man hasn't changed his stripes. He is still the same person to not be trusted.

Nothing has changed.

I doubt Hilter, Castro, Stalin, Mao, etc. viewed themselves or the governments they ran as being tryannical.

To that point, for any sitting US president to say such a thing (whether republican or democrat) is quite amazing to me.

he's clearly never read (or understood or respected) the Federalist Papers or the Constitution itself for that matter (or most any political thinker who wasn't a king or other tyrant).

Dear the Ohio State University graduates:

Obama wants to be a tyrannical leader.

Sincerely,

He's spot on as usual with his rhetoric

So was Plato:

“This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.”

and this applies well to BO's predecessors (and of course BO too):
“If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy”
J. Madison

If the Cardinals really want to take advantage of his ballhawking they should probably move him to safety. I'm just not sure he can cover the taller receivers in the NFL.

Obama should be hammered for this. It is surprising how often he will slip in his socialist, communist, tyrannical, philosophy and get away with it. It is bull shite and truly ridiculous.

So we should reject the voices of Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, Adams, Madison, Hamilton, and people of their ilk. Got it.

I honestly think Obama views himself as superior to those men. To that point, I feel quite certain that most of the left wingers on this site feel Obama is intellectually and morally superior to those men as well.

The fact of the matter is that NO SITTING U.S. PRESIDENT should ever tell an audience in any setting not to worry about tyranny in government.

Of course, by pointing this out, the left-wingers on here will just say that this is people trying in vain to find something wrong with Obama.

This^^

The most powerful man in the world instructing us to ignore warnings of tyranny.

Now that is just deliciously rich.

Exactly. You should never trust some one that says "Trust me, I'm a good guy".

Whether you're good, honest, or strong, you don't have to tell people about it. They will figure it put pretty quickly.

Never thought Toto would set the best example of all. "Pay no attention to that [Tyrant] behind the curtain!!".

These con artists need to be exposed. Trouble is the Lame Stream Media has dumbed-down the uninformed voters to the extent that the don't question a thing. Insulting doesn't begin to describe how I feel about this speech. I've never witnessed a dictatorship take root - this must be what it looks like.
