re: Sources: LeBron to win 4th MVP

I do agree Jordan is better than LeBron and that its going to take a lot from LeBron to pass Jordan (he has the potential but that task is very difficult)

What I will say is....

Prime Pippen/Rodman > current Wade/Bosh.

Bosh is currently a 16/6 player. Now Wade is more capable of taking over a game than Pippen was now.....but Pippen allowed for Jordan to rest on defense because he took the toughest assignments....LeBron currently guards the toughest matchups for the Heat.

Truth be told..if LeBron had a better jump shot earlier in his career (I dont think he freezes in those early blunders if his jumper was more solid) and better Head coaching.....

He has about 3 titles right now. Mike Brown blew it back in 09 for the Cavs. LeBron blew it against the Mavs cause he was afraid to shoot/couldnt beat the zone.

Should be an interesting next 5-8 years for LeBron.

Yep, and the other thing that isn't really reflected in the stats is how often players stuck with a team for the majority or their entire careers. Robinson and Duncan with the Spurs. Pippen and Jordan with the Bulls. Olajuwon with the Rockets. Malone and Stockton with the Jazz. Wilkins with the Hawks. And the list goes on.

I know this is taking a shot at lebron and cp3, but why leave when you have another superstar on your team. Lebron and mo Williams in Cleve? cp3 and who in Nola? The fact that you look down upon players for wanting to win championships and not light up the stat line is ridiculous to me.

Is this real life? People actually believe this?
Of course.

Some people can look pass the higlights of all teh hard fouls and realize those weren't commonplace and happening every trip down the court, like some like to make the 90s out to be.

Defenses are absolutely more complex now than ever before, I'm guessing that is fairly common knowledge.

Shaq had Penny when he was on the Magic. He left.
Shaq had Kobe on the Lakers. He left.

The Cavs tried to snag Amare but LeBron said nay nay. One of the biggest myths that LeBron's fanboys perpuate is that he had no help. Did he have a superstar name beside him? No. Did he have plenty of help? Easily yes. Hell after his first two season with the Cavs, the East was a joke. Even when the Celtics came together, they were exiting/out of their primes. He had no excuse not to at least be in the Conference Finals after his 3rd season.

But that's the past and he has the super friends + 5 stud perimeter shooters and all of his competition suffering without their Alpha/Beta.

Wasn't taking a shot at anyone in particular. I was just saying that it seems that players stuck with their teams...even if they were the only "star" on the team. That made it easier to identify with and follow a team which made for a more interesting game.

Not only that, but if you're judging how good a player is, all that should matter is what happens on the court during a game.

Whether a guy wants to play with 1 team for 20 years or 20 teams in 20 years, that is irrelevant to how good he is.

Dude, the bulls won 6 championship out of 10 in the 90s and Jordan sat out a couple of the non championship years. They had a team go 72-10. How is the competition suffering anymore than in the 90s?

The GOAT

You're either trolling or a ridiculous fanboy if you think LBJ is there yet. He very well could be, but not yet, no way.

He was just choking 2 years ago. 1 ring and 1 Finals MVP plus 4 MVP's is bad ass, BUT Jordan at this many games in his career had 3 rings, 3 Finals MVP's and 3 season MVP's.

Jordan is better at scoring and D. LBJ is better with assists and rebounds and 3 pointers. LBJ is well rounded and if he keeps his pace up, it will be hard not to deem him GOAT.

But right now? Surely you jest.

Wow you really do believe the shite you say. That's next level delusion.

Here's what people (like me) who know more about the NBA are saying (take some time to learn something):

90's defense > 2000's

Again, 90's > 2000's

Even SI notes this.

You are wrong about this, you know you are wrong about this, but you still want to insist you are right. No one over the age of 25 can seriously say that the NBA plays better defense now without being delusional or trolling.

What are you even asking? The NBA was far more competitive in the 80's and 90's. How is this confusing? What are you not getting?

Wait, are you linking random message board posters to prove your point?

I mean, if Samarai Swoosh said it, you got me!

Yes you can.

This isn't baseball/football. One player has a far bigger impact in basketball than they do in any other team sport out there.

Sports Illustrated is a random message board?

You have nothing to back up your claims other than your idiocracy. Nothing. Literally the only people who side with you are people who are too young and naive to know otherwise.

Great company for your line of thinking.

Shhhhh. To them, LeBron is the first Point Forward ever and is doing things that NO other player could ever dream of doing.
