When you compare two players that are great (Not fricking backup qb's who are never going to start in the NFL) and you are looking at their careers. You've got comparable stats, one has more pro bowls and no super bowl rings and the other has a super bowl ring. The one with the ring gets the win.
I personally apply the rule to every position, not just QB's. shite Randy Moss has comparable stats to Jerry Rice. He's second in almost every category, except one of them won super bowls.
*I am, by no means making the argument that Moss>Rice, just using an example.
