He has three and was on the same team for 13 years. He was also selected to the Patriots All-2000s team.

first rushing td in a super bowl
Held single season rushing record for Packers until Ahman Green broke it

ETA: Plus 5 straight 1,000 yard seasons
I can endorse Jim Taylor for most successful. Faulk is right there though.

Faulk is one of my childhood idols and favorite Tigers. He was a good running back on some very good Patriots teams.

If we're not including Taylor/Tittle, I don't see how you could say anyone but either Mawae or Faneca has been the most succesful. Those two are Hall-of-Famers.

This. The first has been to 8 Pro Bowls, the second to 9. In terms of individual success, it doesn't get much better than that. Super Bowl rings are team accomplishments and while Faulk absolutely played a huge role for the Pats, he was lucky to land there.

So if a player isn't a QB then rings are a team accomplishment?

Rings are the pinnacle of success in the NFL. MVP's are great, pro bowls are great, ask anyone who played in the NFL and got those without getting a ring what they would prefer.

You can't just discount Super Bowl rings.

Didn't Jim Taylor win 5 NFL titles before there even was a Superbowl? Hard to argue against what he accomplished in his career...

Rings carry more weight with a starting QB than a glorified 3rd down back.

Faulk winning 3 rings with the Pats doesn't make automatically make him a better career player than Mawae and Faneca, not by a longshot.

So what you're saying is that Chase Daniel > Dan Marino or Jim Kelley or Bert Jones or Y.A. Tittle?
Rings are a team accomplishment and don't really mean anything individually; they can be hocked for drug money.
