Exits were blocked? How many students were trying to escape?

Rex, you obviously don't understand Christianity - or maybe you don't understand what "free thought" is.

Not sure which is worse, that or indoctrination into failed radical socialist political ideals.

BTW - how could presenting multiple viewpoints to students be considered to be in opposition to free thought?

Sounds like it was exaggerated for dramatic effect. I'd evaluate this source carefully.

Wonder if we can get a thread for every liberal indoctrination lecture students are forced to listen to?

More to the story

quote:

lthough the Rankin County School District had not received a notice of the lawsuit Thursday afternoon, a spokesperson issued a written statement stating:

"Our students have the freedom to organize student-led and planned meetings and the assembly in question was student led and organized. The meetings were not mandatory."

William Burgess, legal coordinator of the Appignani Humanist Legal Center, recognizes that the school claims the assembly was "student-led and organized," but argues the school was absolutely involved.

Still seems like a bone-headed move on the schools part, but hardly the indoctrination camp Rex makes it out to be.

That link is no good. It doesn't make the right look like religious extremists indoctrinating those too young to think for themselves. That has no place in the conversation

Kids should not be allowed to have many free thoughts , disipline and faith is what kids need , i gave 2 grown kids and i love them , but theyre thinking was monitored always and still is to some degree as it should be . Jesus was not a myth he was as real as you and i , Thats a fact .

A religion that has free will as its basis cannot by definition be in opposition to free thought. There is no such thing as free will if you can't decide matters for yourself.

You failed to establish a connection between the event and the outcome you feared from the event. And if a single lecture is indoctrination, then how is anything taught in school, such as evolution, not indoctrination?

So it's ok for teachers to discuss gay marriage and gay rights in class?

Keynesian economics?

It is truly laughable when I see the ideologically rigid Progessives talking about free thought and superstition.

Discuss? Sure.

Indoctrinate? No.

And we know which side Progressives come down when those two methods are available. Rigid indoctrination.
