Mississippi public school forces students to listen to Jesus lecture

while teachers block the exits.

LINK

A lawsuit has been filed.... swell... but the ongoing problem is that school boards, principals, and teachers who perpetrate these sorts of civil rights violations KNOW that they are never made to personally pay. If they were all immediately fired or fined whenever they lose such lawsuits these types of offenses would come to a screeching halt.

Well if the events happened like the story reports, this is wrong and there should be action taken against the perpetrators.

From the article and it's view point, it is not saying the Constitution forbids religion in public places.

I've had some unpleasant personal experience with Rankin County and their self-righteous, hypocritical Christians.

In what way? I bet 98% of them weren't even paying attention and were enjoying just being out of the class room.

Not much different than children being forced to watch An Inconvient Truth from the church of Al Gore...... The biggest difference is that you already have Republicans on this site saying this was a stupid idea but not one of you hypocrite Dems do when the shoe is on the opposite foot

yep that is the way I approached most school assemblies in high school.

usually its one or two kids who create the problem, most kids probably don't care about what they talk about.

They were all harmed by indoctrination into superstition and opposition to free thought.

And per a post here this week, students in NY were forced to participate in gay role-playing. The difference is largely explained by the continental divide in ideology between the liberal North and the conservative South. Frankly, I'm much less concerned about students receiving the ultimate positive influence which is Jesus.

Good thing the news hasn't caught wind of my school. We'd be in trouble for sure.
