Absolutely. And some of them "had" spoken several times in the same election.

Nice.

I accept he received more electoral votes than Romney and McCain did.

I also stand by my explanation as to why that occurred and why it spells the end for this nation.

Correct, I always hear this bs,"we won". The country lost, when you get a majority sucking on the gov't tit we are doomed to sustain a positive ecomomic climate. Once the funds dry up welcome to chaos.

You got it backwards. If Obama had any balls he would stop Wall Street sucking up America's money but we know Goldman Sachs has him in their pocket.

In the American system of democracy, he or she (esp in 2016 Hillary) wins the election. Republicans had an amazing chance to win but fell off the right of the planet and then nominated a stiff. A centrist Republican could have defeated Obama. Too late now. Learn for 2016.

Dude, I am not complaining about the current trajectory of this country's 'sentiments'. I hope the President continues to tax the rich, go after corporations, universalize health care, and railroad Congress I think it's you guys that don't like the path we are on. Like Rush Limbaugh, if you don't like it, maybe you should leave. And if you don't die first, I think they are coming for your guns too... See all the goodies you have to look forward to?

I see you continue your schtick.

So no matter the long term result as long as you extract revenge for years past then Odrama is doing right by you.

re: How did this idiot we call the President con America?

Well WTF do you care about?

Well, for one, I am a Christian per the bible's definition. I don't always make the best decisions/choices (like discussing politics), but I do try not to be self-serving or materialistic. It's hard when u live in a world that promotes their version of success '

I am keenly aware that I have many God-given rights. They supersede anything any country's constitution attempts to enumerate...for the sake of independence. But I also know, that sometimes I have to forego those God-given rights, for the greater good, or if it is in an effort to keep the peace.

So I am not going to picket a soldiers funeral, even though I think there is a better way to keep the peace in this world. This country's constitution says I have a right to do that. I say that's disgusting, obscene, a lack of respect for, at the least, someone just following orders.

My God-given rights have limits. It forbids me to take the life of anyone except in the most extreme circumstances, much less the life of an unborn baby.

It governs and reminds me (by way of a conscience) that sexual relations outside of a marriage arrangement is wrong, and ultimately detrimental to my long-term relationships.

It gives me a strong sense of trying to be fair, to help those in need. Yes, the worker deserves his wages, and he who is lazy should not eat. But the greedy who oppress, whether they have a little or a lot, are still held in great disdain.

As a young black man growing up in New Orleans, all I can tell you is that I was shielded from a lot of reality by my parents. I worked hard at school, at work, and never once thought racism had anything to do with whether I 'made it' or not. Now I am 37, married to my beautiful white wife, with two beautiful children. I can tell you for a fact, racism is alive and well. It is certainly not in the majority
, but it's enough to make a noticeable difference.
Nobody blatantly comes out and calls you n*****. And I can understand maybe the uneasiness of seeing a 'mixed' couple (we are 60 years removed from segregation).

But if I am not allowed in your church solely based on my skin color, then your church is the problem, not me. Racism just seems to be evolving, becoming milder, which is good, but still not optimal.
You see, there was a time when blacks were slaves, and that became unacceptable
But there still was a time when blacks were segregated, and then that became unacceptable.
Now we are at a time, when blacks in certain unseen/unheard of, even sometimes considered 'exclusive' only to whites position themselves, and some have a hard time accepting it.

It couldn't be more obvious than in politics. For the life-long Republican, it's bad enough that the president is a democrat. He is also a Muslim, his father is from Kenya, he wasn't born here, and he is black. "And since I can't talk about the color of his skin openly, I'll talk about everything else I can get away with, make up, or embellish: he doesnt love this country, wants businesses to fail, wants higher gas prices, and hates the rich."

This country would love to espouse a higher-calling, a beacon to the world.

Far from it

I love when libtards tell the republicans what they need to do. It goes in cycles. Repubs aren't dying, dems aren't dying.

Oh and for those posting yesterday... miranda is ONLY about what is admissible in court. He was not being denied any rights by being questioned pre-miranda.

This is rich. Romney has actually created a job in his lifetime. I can't say the same for your Messiah. If Obama declared himself dictator tomorrow, you'd bend over and go right along with it. Keep your vote in the Northeast. You guys are as delusional as they get.

You have no basis for this. It's just a way for you to paint ideological opponents as "the other," to prove that those who disagree with you are not only incorrect, but are actually suffering from serious deficiencies of character. It keeps you insulated and helps you to avoid having to deal with the cognitive dissonance that there are people out there who think Barack Obama is a terrible president for reasons that have nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with his skin color.

There were people on this board saying Barack Obama will go down as being one of the worse presidents in history back in Feb 2009. In fact, almost everyone say for the few, ignorant ' libtards' said it. Enter the Tea Party also

So, what makes him so bad? The fact that we have gotten involved in more wars?

Has our economy gotten worse since he took office?

I would like specifics as to why this president is so BAD, because, as we all know, none of our legendary issues are working their way in reverse.

Healthcare costs have been skyrocketing for 40 years now.

The deficit has been out of control ever since Reagan DOUBLED it.

What the government spends on education, welfare, entitlements---it's needed fixing for YEARS.

Illegal immigrants have always been a problem.

You guys lose so many arguments on these because the current president, in your eyes, is to be blamed for all of this.

The day you hear rich people say 'We are being oppressed' or 'Obama is anti/buisness' is the day you know we are on the right track

It's no surprise that a board of conservatives is going to denounce a liberal president, even early in his term. Surely you remember the vitriol spewed about George W. Bush when he was coming into office, but I never thought it was because liberals are anti-Texas. It's because libs gonna lib.

quote:

So, what makes him do bad?

"OBAMA: The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion dollars for the first 42 presidents — number 43 added $4 trillion dollars by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion dollars of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. It’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic!"

He said this nearly five years ago. He said the debt was unpatriotic. I didn't say that. HE said it. Then he came into office and expanded that debt and expected his supporters to forget about it. And you know what? They did. Barack Obama FAILED to do exactly what he said he would do. He didn't inherit the economy. He wasn't walking along minding his own business when he suddenly became president and had to clean up Bush's mess. He actively SOUGHT to clean up Bush's mess. He told the American people he WOULD clean up Bush's mess. And he DIDN'T. He FAILED, and he was still re-elected.

quote:

Healthcare costs have been skyrocketing for 40 years now.

In large part because of government intervention. And his solution, as it often is on the left, is to get the government MORE involved. His health care plan does nothing to lower the costs -- they're going to increase and keep increasing, until one day liberals, decrying the failure of the mythical "free market" that doesn't exist in this country, will use their reactionary hyperbole to expand government reach even further into our healthcare system.

quote:

What the government spends on education, welfare, entitlements---it's needed fixing for YEARS.

Yes, and the fixing is ALWAYS MORE SPENDING! No one ever stops to ask if these programs are failing because the federal government lacks the capacity to administer them. It's always because the federal government hasn't gone far enough.

quote:

You guys lose so many arguments on these because the current president, in your eyes, is to be blamed for all of this.

Yes, people sometimes make this argument. I don't. Obama is not the machine -- he's a cog. He's part of this massive expansion of statism that has been occurring for decades.

quote:

The day you hear rich people say 'We are being oppressed' or 'Obama is anti/buisness' is the day you know we are on the right track

Why? What about oppressing business is going to help you? Why don't you worry about the most dangerous oppressor of all -- the federal government? Where are the angels who are going to make sure everything is fair? They don't exist. The government is more dangerous than any business that has ever existed, because the government has no competition.
