The more he keeps talking, the more I feel like you do about him.

no nothing happened......our offense sucked and it finally caught up to the them......people act like we were not in that game and as bad as the offfense played lsu was only down by 12 points late in the fourth quarter......the d played good enough to win that game.

re: Tyrann Mathieu Wanted to Skip the National Title Game

You think? Yet you dont know. You arent in his life, you dont know his past or his heart. So really, you are in no position to judge.

Why is it that everyone must have an opinion. I can at least respect the people who are indifferent.

What I have trouble understanding are the people who loved him and rode his coattails when he was on his way to being one of the all time greats to ever play for LSU, and as soon as this guy struggles you throw him out in the cold.

This guy is trying, and struggling. Its clear that he cares, but struggles. Have you never let people you care about down? Wanted something, but failed?

This world needs less negativity. Honestly, what does it hurt to pull for the guy. I suppose some people just want to be able to say I told you so if someone fails, and it hurts their tiny little hearts too much to hold to hope.

It makes you a "tough guy" if you are cold and calculated. Its much easier to cast a stone at a public figure who happens to be a troubled kid, than to fix yourself

re: Tyrann Mathieu Wanted to Skip the National Title Game

I know enough about how he was acting leading up to his dismissal to think very little of him and many on the team were relieved to see him go.

Spare the sob story, he's a self centered little asswipe that thought he became bigger than the program. He's not struggling with an addiction, he just didn't give a shite about his actions.

I just can't root for the guy. His great TWO SEASONS aside, I think he's just a shitty person
fify......he was a kid that had problems and screwed up....i still think he was one of the most amazing players i have seen in purple and gold....im sure he regrets alot stuff he did as do many people regret doing dumb shite as a kid....people who have a problem with him and hold it against him for being kicked off the team need to get over it.

He did need to go, and Im sure his teammates were relieved. He did have selfish moments. Im sure you didnt have those at that age, as you were obviously perfect.

Getting kicked off the team set him in motion to learn a lesson. Your making poor arguments with bad logic. I never argued he didnt need to leave the team.

Im saying that he cares, and is trying now, and there is no reason not to pull for him.

When you cant win with logic, just call him names. Thatll show him

There are plenty of reasons not to pull for him. Especially the more he talks about his time at LSU and puts the program in a negative light.

You can blame it on the media but the bottom line is the LSU football team has never been the same since that game. I think a lot of the players and fans lost a lot of respect for CLM that fateful night in New Orleans. It's going to take another national championship to win back the respect he lost for playing Jefferson the entire football game. That was totally inexcusable. Worst effort by a QB I have ever seen at any level. Pathetic! WTF was Miles thinking as well..... Nightmare revisited. Sorry for the ranting..... Maybe LSU will do something special in 2013. Looking forward to the season.

Miles was 100% to blame for that game with Jefferson being a small part. Terrible game plan. Tryin to run against a defense built to stop the run. It should have been obvious from the first game he was not gonna run on this team. Refusing to pass consistently and not spreading there defense out to create mismatches easily played into there hands.

The common response around here is "get the frick over it".

But most people who were actually there, like myself, in that fricking dome that had MORE GUMPS in it than LSU fans, that witnessed the massacre, will never "get over it".

I told my wife when the the team came out of the tunnel they looked like they didn't want to be there. Just no energy.

re: Tyrann Mathieu Wanted to Skip the National Title Game

Wasn't a massacre. People always say this and it isn't true. Alabama fans were nervous all the way til the 4th qtr, but when they saw Miles was still tryin to run the damn ball they got relieved. LSU was very much in the game having only givin up FG's to these people up to that point. But Herb announcing the game with Musberger was right, along with the abysmal game plan this LSU team just looked lackluster and disinterested the whole night.

He cared so much he got suspended for smoking weed, smoked again, got kicked off for smoking weed, was given an apparent second chance to come back in 2013 and then smoked weed again. Then continues to cast a negative light on LSU. Good riddance tyrann. Hope the NFL works out for you. Maybe you can smoke the contract too.

re: Tyrann Mathieu Wanted to Skip the National Title Game

I doubt any of us really know enough about TM7 to judge him. No sob story needed, it is life, we are all imperfect, and I for one am eternally grateful for our loving Lord. What would Jesus say about TM7, or any one of us? Not trying to preach, merely hoping those who quickly condemn might rethink their disgust and dislike for Tyrann.
