Question about bands for a wedding.....

Just found out that my band that I had booked for my wedding in May had to cancel due to a serious illness to the lead singer. I've received a few suggestions, but most are already booked. I realize i'm pretty much fricked, but was wondering if any of you folks have any suggestions for possible bands that you have heard or might know of....

Pretty good band. They played at my senior prom

I would probably just do a dj though. But that's just me.

It depends what you want... Live music call Chris he plays at the bar I work at and is good; some cocky teenager playing studio recordings off a Mac, which any 1 eyed moron could do, call a dj

Did you ask the original band if they had any suggestions?

They didn't have something in the contract regarding this type of situation? Our DJ had a statement that he would find a comparable replacement in the event that he can't perform for any reason.

No contract. Fiance's family knows him personally. Very popular around here and puts on a great show, but did has become ill and they can't tell him what is wrong with him. I'm not bothering him while he is trying to figure out if he is going to live or not. That being said i heard his some members of his band this past weekend with a different singer...... not going to work for me, the singer wasn't very good. I talked with the bass player and he said he will get in touch with us sometime this week, but i'm not staking my life on them finding somebody suitable. Poor guy has cx at least 4 weddings in the next 2mths and just what i know of. I just listened to this Chris Leblanc guy, but does he play like wedding shite too?
