John Major, her replacement was comical at the helm for his tenure. That effect led to Labor becoming re-invigorated as a party and Tony Blair. England has gone backwards to the 60's era of Labour having control of the country with shite for results.

I used to watch Cspan's coverage of parliament. We think of 'British Accent' but there are about a dozen different British Accents and it was fun to see them all in one room.

There's a lot of bile and vitriol being hurled at her in the comments section of her New York Times' obituary.

I have no problem with her enemies coming out against her on the day of her death. She was a leader of consequence that help alter history. The ones that despise her have closer ties to the Soviet Union if you think about it.

One of the greatest leaders of the second half of the 20th century.

We all mourn with Great Britain over its loss.

I saw the math displayed on the Fox channel with some graphs earlier today. The British economy was growing under leadership, and it has faltered ever since then.

Despised by most of Britain. Will not be missed.

Roger Waters will probably be happy at news of her passing.

On Feb. 5, 1976, Prime Minister Thatcher said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."

RIP!

A lot of Brits were pissed that she derailed the government subsidy gravy train for money-losing industries. She did the right thing though, otherwise the UK would be Greece right now.

It seems that a lot of folks in Thatcher's hometown aren't proud of their famous daughter.

And The Guardian had this to say: "Her legacy is public division, private selfishness and a cult of greed that together shackle the human spirit"

Labour is being pathetically petty isn't it.

The Guardian is the rag for the rabid communists and socialists to read in England, it has been since its first edition.

I think Americans, both liberals and conservatives, are usually more restrained when it comes to the passing of public figures that they dislike. The Nation (the American equivalent of The Guardian) was much more respectful of Ronald Reagan when he died. And if a Democratic Congressman had reacted to the death of Reagan the way George Galloway did to Thatcher's death today, he/she would blasted by both Democrats and Republicans.

Why is it that leftists no any other way to speak about those with opposing views except in the most hateful, shrill, and virulent rhetoric?

Galloway couldn't exist in America, which is a tribute to our society (and that is saying A LOT). What a despicable figure. Even Michael Moore would be hesitant to come near some of Galloway's positions.
