Obama senior adviser laments Drudge Report effect on the news

quote:

During a Playbook Breakfast event with Politico’s Mike Allen, White House Senior Adviser Dan Pfeiffer lamented the effect of the Drudge Report on the news cycle. “This is less true now than it was, but there is a pavlovian response from some media outlets,” Pfeiffer explained, noting that reporters often ask questions about a topic just because its on the Drudge Report.

quote:

Pfeiffer added that when he is asked about something on the Drudge Report he usually ridicules the reporter asking the question until they sheepishly back down. Pfeiffer said that the Drudge effect can be damaging to the White House effort to communicate their message, even though he insisted he was “fairly ambivalent” to what Matt Drudge puts up on his site every day.

The WH had #fightthesmears to control their agenda reported in the news. It failed.

I recall reading recently that pool reporters are getting more and more shut out to dare question anything.

So, having only 80% of the media willing to give Obama a blow-job whenever he wants is not enough?

They want them all.

I think that the Obama team of campaigners read drudge every morning and then go post articles on media matters and fact check dot they all are bias for Obama coms.

Remember back when factchecks and snopes were actually trusted?

Don't they realize that Drudge doesn't write his own articles? he just compiles stories that other people write.

Pfeiffer said that he'll often be approached by reporters who say they have a question strictly because "it's on Drudge."

I sort of ask them to repeat themselves — say that to themselves out loud again and think about it," Pfeiffer said. "And everyone's always a little embarrassed about it and says, 'My boss — my assignment editor's on me about this.'"

Yet if they were asking questions just because it's in NYT he'd have no problem with it...

There is an article out today that says MO does not know what she will do. MO could say she is running for Queen and the media lapdogs would promote it.

Yawn.

Like they really care what a minuscule part of the media is doing. They own the narrative and they know it.

I love the Mark Twain quote in the comments.
quote:

"A man who doesn't read the news is uninformed, and the man who does is misinformed"

That's what we have today.

Pesky media keeps questioning the Dear Leader. How dare they?!

I can't believe for a second given quotes like these... that this administration wouldn't silence the press if given the chance.

I expect the very worst things from this frick of man named Obama. That has to happen and many of them have willingly done so because they were programmed in college for this. They are propaganda agents no different from what Stalin, Mao and Hitler had.
