Clemsons defensive coordinator also had an interesting comment before the Chicken Bowl

“Their form of a trick play is a play-action pass,” Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables

You'd better check out his post history.

And being an ex-player doesn't mean you know what the f#%k you are talking about. Or that you are sane.

The plays we ran last year wasn't that different from the 2003 team that beat his D in the NC. We just ran the ball the whole game.

Anyone who thinks one coordinator cannot totally change an offense/defense, for good or ill, need only look at 2012 Saints' defense.

Spags was bad, sure, but the Saints were playing with guys that literally no other team would have on their roster. The deficiencies in the secondary and on the DL were too much for any DC to overcome.

I am optimistic about the offense under cam but lets not forget than mett is poised to be the best starting qb at LSU since flynn left. don't think all these changes would be effective with jj/jl at qb. yes, we would have a more disciplined and cohesive offense but we have needed a capable qb and qb coach to make any real mmeaningful changes.

stop right there. The guy is a topnotch DC, his system was just wrong for the Saints.

I know that but he never really tried to do anything to adjust to the personnel. He just kept constantly putting our DBs is shitty situations.

Cam should have better sets and schemes for all our opponites defenses and his NFL experience will give Nikky something different to consider. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

we lost to bama and we had a very good offensive day. the same for clemson. we need better decision making when the game is on the line. better play calling, clock management, personnel on the field etc. that hurt us more in the 2 losses than stud.

ps. cam won't be able to help us if we get a 4 point lead with under 2 minutes to go and clemson or bama drives the ball down chavis throat.

Defending the old offense that didn't produce results while getting behind the new offense is a pretty tricky path, no?

I just hope Cameron can make the defense pay dearly for stacking 9 in the box.

However, he can help us get up by 11.

Score once or twice more, which should have happened in both games, and it's not an issue.

Hell, just pick up a few more first downs, burn more time, get more field position, and let the D rest a bit and more points aren't even as needed

If Miles continues passing on Bama they score. Everytime they would get close to the redzone on them the doofus would revert back to his true nature, running, stalling a couple drives. This game should have been like 31-17 or 31-24. But you already knew that.

Yep, you gotta put the other guy down when you can. This game of attrition works in the other teams favor sometimes.

Can't wait to see if we open it up this year.

Everything I've heard and seen indicates that Cameron truly is revolutionizing some of the fundamental precepts of the offense. I think (hope) it might portend a drastic improvement on the field. Not all of our upper-classmen are adapting fluidly to the new terminology and concepts. They will learn or be supplanted.
