Never looked into a brake, seems unnecessary unless you are pissed off at the guy next to you on the firing line

Well doesn't have to be a brake, flash hider would do. Just need something. My 300 BLK is being built now and he didn't have any stainless flash hiders so he'll ship without. I just noticed that I told you it was for 5.56, I meant 300 BLK.

If you are doing it for the BLK, get the AAC Flash Hider

Stainless yes. Stainless finish no. AAC brakes are the best for 300, by far. They offer 3 styles and each serves a purpose. Flash hinder, muzzle brake, and a combo. Each style will work with a 52 tooth quick connect can.

Did you ask yourself for help? At least that's the first step. One thing to be cautious of with the AAC hinder, it pings. Some say a little some want to shoot themselves.

Look into the cost of that barrel, the upper and charging handle can be only worth $100 or so.

Am I just not reading it correctly or does he not list what type of barrel is it? Do barrels have brand names?

Just checked my BS PMs and he asked if I was interested in trade as well! Like I said above, look at the prices of the individual parts, then go from there. Didnt see you reply, give me a min to look at it all again Thats a $335 rail system from DD, and if the rest of it is Colt, the total value is prolly around $600 in my complete guesstimation. Thats also a $100 muzzle device, so then add that. But the killer is no Colt BCG. To answer quote:

I am guessing that the Colt Complete upper means that its a Colt barrel. Generally, places like PK Firearms, when they assemble an upper, its named for the barrel, so I am guessing that its a Colt barrel based on that.

So if I could get him to do 2 seekins lowers and $100 cash, that would be a solid deal for me? I value the lowers at $250ea since that is what I sell them at. However, I only have $165ish in them so I'd essentially get the package for $430. What is a forward assist and how much are those? I figure I can get a BCG + Charging handle for $250. How bad is it that there is no Colt BCG? Would another quality BCG be good enough? ETA: Searched what a forward assist was and realize I probably won't need it

The two lowers plus $100 sounds good. Does it come with no bcg or a cheap one?

No BCG. I could get a quality one down the road for about $200

That's not a bad deal at all if that's the upper you want. quote:

Forward assists can be found for cheap, no worries there. Finding a quality BCG can be challenging to say the least. Like burgeman said before, its the most important part of the build, no reason to pinch pennies there. $250 will do it, but finding one is still tough.

I just think that if its a complete Colt, it should come with a Colt BCG.

Yes

ETA: Searched what a forward assist was and realize I probably won't need it
If there is a spot for it, you kinda will need it

I'll see if it bites on the offer ETA: If he does, I've estimated a final price of a completed build of just under $1,000 for a Colt/DD upper and Seekins lower
