Libertarians: should we be free to commit incest/bestiality?

Assuming parties in both cases are willing...like a REALLY lovable and obedient lab?

can't be called bestiality without having the best amirite?

But seriously, at what point do you become uncomfortable with freedom?

When it directly affects the lives of others.

Well, as of now an animal can't really give consent, so there is a line I gues.

It's been said on here many times that animal can't consent. Maybe a few freaky animals would like it, but how do you know?

Does your little 16 year old brother count as an other? Your feisty little cat?

Please be more specific.

How do we know they aren't? What if a cat purrs while you are going to town? What if Lassie likes licking your balls?

This is the key point isn't it? Since it is impossible to know for sure, then that is the obvious line.

Legit question. What side of the libertarian spectrum are you on? The constitutional side or the anarchist side?

Were you born a moron, or was it something you've developed into?

16 year old brother = others

My feisty little cat = mine = others

Your feisty little cat = yours = go for it...as long as it's in the privacy of your own house.

This isn't that difficult.

When it effects the freedom of someone else. I love sleeping with my lab. We don't have sex. But if you want to have sex with your lab that's fine with me as long as the lab consents.

Next question?

So setting up a pleasure shop next to Starbucks where men can slap peanut butter on the balls, assume the captain Morgan pose, and whistle Lassie over for a treat would be ok?

Incest? Assuming both parties are adult and consent...sure.

Bestiality? Sorry...no consent.

Any more specific?

Your wife = others
Your S/O = others

So we aren't free to have sex with them because that freedom affects others?

Are we free to go to the store and buy candy? I'm afraid we may affect others in some way along the way.

The movie Hawaii dealt with this issue. Apparently natives considered incest a good thing. For you younger folks who don't remember the movie:

I've seen plenty of dogs hump people, skate boards etc. What if a dog was screwing a chick. That seems like consent to me.

How are you confused? I just stated that since it is impossible to know for sure whether an animal is consenting to such acts, then no it is not acceptable.

Are animals self aware? Are they cognizant that they are committing sexual acts or are they operating on instinct?
