| 2013 Saints mock draft V.2 (Posted on 3/11/13 at 9:32 pm)
V.1 Saints now trade back with the Vikings. Saints receive-23 and 2014 2nd round pick Vikings receive-15 Saints then trade with the 49ers Saints-34, 61 49ers-23 34-Damontre Moore Texas A&M,OLB/DE Lead the SEC in sacks, he was considered a top 5 pick before the combine, until he had a bad combine and had bad interviews. He is a top talent who shouldn't be drafted outside the top 10, but because the NFL puts to much stock in the combine we may be able to snag him. 61-David Amerson CB/S, NCSU He is a tweener and will probably play Safety, but can play corner in some situations. He led the NCAA in interceptions in 2011, but had a down year this. The Saints had a horrible secondary last year, and Amerson would be an upgrade. 75-Tyrann Mathieu- CB/S, LSU Saints struggled to force turnovers last year, here is your solution. Tyrann Mathieu was reported saying how much he likes Rob Ryan after an interview with the Saints. I have a feeling that the Saints feel the same. The Saints had trouble forcing turnovers last year, TM7 wasn't nicknamed the Honey Badger for nothing. His tough tenious style will help the Saints get the ball back to their offense. 106-Brandon Williams NT, Missouri Southern provides depth at the NT position behind Bunkley. If he doesn't pan out, it was only the 4th round. If he does pan out, the sky is the limit. 137- Stansly Maponga DE/OLB, TCU Started this year at TCU, even though he didn't have big numbers he was an impact player on one the top defensive units in the nation. 171-Aron Mallete WR, Elon The Saints get some help at WR, another guy who could become the next Colston. The Saints have interviewed him, and seem to have intrest. The Saints miss out on some TEs in the draft, such as Otten/Kelce, but come away huge on the defensive side.

You forgot that we will also trade Mark Ingram to the Cardinals and will pick Sam Montgomery. Since we're making up shite that will never happen and all.....

the premise of the trades are terrible learn to use the draft pick value chart draft pick calculator here to avoid the math. Picks the following year are generally scored at one round lower than the current year. That is, a 2nd in 2014 would be equivalent to a 3rd this year. Where you place them in the round is a matter of soothsaying/negotiation. Look at the Saints trade for Ingram as an example. The points on it were nearly exact in the end result. Variation of up to 10% or so on the points is common with the team seeking the trade paying the premium.

Yea predicting trades is pretty pointless. There is no way to get that right for a mock
