I am all for free markets but it is apparent that people can't control themselves. Then we become accountable for their health care expenses because of their health problems. In light of the decision I say just tax the F out of fast food and soft drinks.

It's definitely a complicated issue... we live in a free society where we should have the ability to decide what we eat and drink, but with the ACA, we all could/will end up paying for the poor decisions of everyone else.

IMO every substance should be legal and the ones that cause health issues should be taxed HEAVILY to not only discourage their use, but to pay for the eventual health issues.

I had to laugh...they're not sugary drinks. HFCS is not the same as sugar. Gotta love misinformation.

frick that. I pay for my own damn health insurance, so I'll eat and drink whatever the hell I want to. Why should I be taxed?
