According to MLBTR (on phone can't link) Braves are willing to listen on Venters for a left handed bench bat. Brennan Boesch is healthy. Maybe him?

I may be reading too much into that but if we are willing to part with Venters for a bench bat it tells me that they don't think he's ever going to get it back.

Talk among scouts that #Braves will listen on Venters. Braves, though, say they love depth in their bullpen, including 3 LHs with Avilan. — Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) March 6, 2013 OK, so the Braves will listen on reliever Jonny Venters. With hard-throwing rookie Bruce Rondon struggling to throw strikes, the Tigers are shopping for a potential closer, and possibly using Rick Porcello as trade bait. The Braves' fifth starter right now is Julio Teheran, who was awful in Triple-A last year. The Braves have bullpen depth (although Eric O'Flaherty hasn't pitched yet this spring due to a strained groin). The Tigers have Drew Smyly ready to pitch in the rotation.

maybe I'm just forgetful but I can't remember a spring training where this many starters were constantly in every lineup

Me either. I may also be remembering things incorrectly, but I seem to recall the first couple of weeks usually being nothing but backups most days and then having the starters slowly get more and more work as opening day gets closer.
