She arrived at Parlay's around 3:30 a.m. with her friend's uncle and friends. Around 5 a.m., Monnette told her acquaintances that she was going to sleep in her car before driving home due to having consumed alcoholic beverages, according to police.
She had parked her Honda Accord in the rear parking area. The car, in which she was last seen sleeping, bears license plate number WUN 494 and is now missing.

I think the friend or the friend's uncle she was with are some how involved. Doesn't sound like this was random.

Agreed. That's not an area where criminals are lurking, especially since cops pretty much station themselves outside the bar.

Monnette told her acquaintances that she was going to sleep in her car before driving home due to having consumed alcoholic beverages, - A responsible idea if she couldn't get a ride home.
She had parked her Honda Accord in the rear parking area. - A BAD idea. A well lighted bigass parking lot in full view would have been better.
I hope she's OK. Scary to think of what could have happened.

Aren't there crime cameras at every intersection in and out of LV? What are they recording?

Pay attention next time you drive past the lights at Marconi and REL or Harrison. They are also on top of the lights at the I-10 overpass, end of vets and as you cross the parish line into bucktown.

I just find it crazy that her friends and the friends uncle they were with were ok with her telling them that she was going to just sleep it off outside the bar by herself in a car. I know that this area isn't dangerous but I would not let my friends do this anywhere.

It def. isn't dangerous, but I've seen some total scum in that bar before. I wonder where they hell they come from.
Chances are she told them she was going to sleep in car and she drove somewhere instead.

I've done that before outside the Taproom. But I was there alone to begin with. I can't imagine my friends being cool with it if they knew what I was doing.
